Consultation on the future funding of education provision for special educational needs and disabilities (0 to 25 years)
Over recent years, the cost of providing education, health and care services for children and young people from Richmond with special educational needs and disabilities has far exceeded the funding allocated for this purpose by central government. With demand for these services continuing to rise, the Council would like to consult with stakeholders to ensure that we are as well informed as possible when making future budget decisions.
In addition to the online consultation (www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/SEND_Futures)
a number of drop-in sessions will be taking place aimed specifically at families, carers and representatives of the voluntary sector. The sessions will be an opportunity to find out more about the budget situation, and ask questions of representatives of the Council and Achieving for Children.
The sessions will take place on the following dates:
- Friday 16 November 2018 1.00 to 2.30pm
- Monday 19 November 2018 7.00 to 8.30pm
- Tuesday 20 November 2018 10.30am to 12 noon
The Venue, Heatham House Youth Centre, Whitton Road, Twickenham TW1 1BH
