SEMH

At Strathmore we are dedicated to preparing and challenging every learner to become an active contributor to their community by championing independence and communication in a learning environment that is accessible to all. Our aspiration for our pupils is for them to live a happy, healthy life as independently as possible and we aim to achieve this by putting the appropriate time and support in place to develop these skills.

Skills, Knowledge and Concepts

At Strathmore School learners are exposed to aspects of SEMH and PSHE in all lessons and throughout the day including during circle time, snack time, play time and discreet lesson time. Our SEMH and PSHE Education builds on the learning taught in other statutory curriculum areas including RSE (Relationships and Sex Education), Science (e.g. reproduction) and Maths (e.g. money).
